Cailah Jackson is Research Associate at the Khalili Research Centre, University of Oxford and former Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College, University of Oxford and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. Her work focuses on late medieval manuscripts of the central and eastern Islamic lands. In 2017, she gained her DPhil in Oriental Studies from the University of Oxford, following undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from the London School of Economics and the School of Oriental and African Studies. Cailah is the author of several articles as well as the monograph, Islamic Manuscripts of Late Medieval Rūm, 1270s–1370s: Production, Patronage and the Arts of the Book (Edinburgh, 2020), which was awarded the Dionisius A. Agius Book Prize by the Society for the Medieval Mediterranean. 

For the CallFront project, Cailah’s main focus is calligraphy from Anatolia produced in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
