Elsa Guyot holds a Ph.D. in Art History, jointly awarded by Université de Montpellier Paul-Valéry and Université de Montréal (2015), specializing in medieval art and museology. Her research explores the reception of medieval objects in modern and contemporary societies, the uses of the past, and the modes of exhibiting art in museums, in relation to political and identity discourses. She completed a postdoctoral research project at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) from 2019 to 2021, focusing on the study of exhibition archives through the lens of digital humanities. She is the author of the book Rejouer l’histoire. Le Moyen Âge dans les musées du Québec, published by Leméac in 2021. Alongside her research activities, she has worked in various cultural sectors, including art centers, museums, publishing houses, and educational institutions. 

She is currently project coordinator for the CallFront program, where she oversees the symposium and associated scholarly publications.
