Lotfi Abdeljawad

Lotfi Abdeljawad, maître de recherches à l’Institut national du patrimoine de Tunis et
épigraphiste spécialiste de la période islamique, revient sur son parcours et présente son
travail, notamment les matériaux et les supports qu’il étudie. Il évoque également sa
participation au projet CallFront et réfléchit aux notions de frontières et de centres à travers
les relations entre épigraphie, inscriptions et manuscrits.

Lotfi Abdeljawad, Senior Research Fellow at the National Heritage Institute in Tunis and an
epigraphist specializing in the Islamic period, reflects on his career and presents his work,
including the materials and supports he studies. He also discusses his participation in the
CallFront project and reflects on the notions of frontiers and centres through the relationships
