Research Team

Shunhua JIN is currently a research fellow at Museum of Islamic Art in Berlin and a visiting scholar at Goethe University Frankfurt. She received her PhD degree from Fudan University in Shanghai and was a postdoctoral researcher at Aix-Marseille University. One of her research interests is Islamic art in China. Her most recent publication is “The Transformation of Domes in Medieval Chinese Mosques: From Immigrant Muslims to Local Followers” in Open Archaeology (De Gruyter, 2023). Another upcoming article from her is “Depicting the Holy Cities: Study on a Nineteenth-century Chinese-Islamic Pilgrimage Scroll”.
